My story
I am a day dreamer, a night thinker, and I love telling stories.
Hey! I am so excited youʻre here and want to learn more about me. I started Kaʻaihili Photography because of my own personal photography experiences. I was once a person who virtually shopped through photographers based on pricing and not their talents and art. I hired a photographer who was "budget-friendly" and could not wait for our session! We color coordinated our family outfits and were completely excited for our first ever family session. When the time came for our session, everything was very rushed, I suddenly felt unprepared, not sure what to do and the resulting images were okay but not great. I remember how that session made me feel and to this day I recall that experience often so I can give my best to every session, every time. I have been taking photographs and videos since childhood, but did not start my business until a few years ago. When I finally connected the dots between my experience and my passion, I knew that I wanted to be a photographer. I pull from my own experiences, both good and not too good, to make sure I provide the best, luxury photography experience that every couple and family deserve!

I am a mom to 3 wildy energetic keiki, one sweet dog named ʻIwa and my guard cat Kika (named for her stripes). I love being outdoors and exploring the beaches and mountains. A typical Saturday for me would be waking up early to catch the sunrise, spending a few hours shelling at the beach with my family or exploring the mountains. I am on a personal journey with my ʻohana to immerse ourselves into our Hawaiian culture. We are actively involved in many classes around the island and love meeting ʻohana who love to ʻōlelo hawaiʻi and hang out in the kaiaulu! If youʻre interested in more information or would like some resources for all things Hawaiʻi, feel free to reach out to me! My guilty binges on Netflix are drama rom-comʻs and k-dramas. I love trying new foods, learning new things and am always down to go do something fun and adventurous!
Once you submit an inquiry, the next step is to schedule a phone call. During this phone call, we will go over all the details for your session. This is where we get to learn more about your vision for the session and the services I offer. We will establish a solid blueprint for the session by the end of the call. To secure your date on my calendar, I will process payment for the session fee. Once processed, you can rest assured that your dream session is in the works! I want this to be an easy and seamless process so you can relax and await the exciting day!

We will meet in person, either in the comfort of your home or over coffee and discuss in detail all aspects of your session. This is where you will receive styling guidance, select hair and makeup preferences, finalize location and go over any other details related to your customized session. We will plan the perfect session to tell your story!

Consultation
The day we have all been waiting for! Spend the beginning of our session getting pampered by the best hair and makeup artists on Oʻahu! This dream team consistently provides upscale service, brings all the laughs and fun times, and the best part - they come to you! Once we arrive on location, the magic begins! I will provide prompts and directions throughout the session so you donʻt have to think of what to do next. The natural flow of the session allows for you and your partner to fully engage with each other and just enjoy the company and memories!

Session Day
Aside from our session, this is my favorite part. We will select all your favorite images and relive those special moments all over again! Be prepared for happy tears and lots of laughter! Once selected, we can preview your images in 3D framed on your walls, in an album, in acrylic or however youʻd like to display your images!
